In spite of this year’s El Niño, the weather in San Diego this January 16th was a magnificent! The estancia la jolla was a stunning backdrop for Jessica and Daniel’s winter nuptials.
Sophisticated yet simple, Jessica wore Monique Lhuillier, while her groom Danny sported Tom Ford. The “first look” was right out of a fairy tale.
Two distinct cultures came together as Jessica’s South African family mixed and mingled with Danny’s family from Mexico City. The evening was clear and brisk as 300 guests sat under the stars for the ceremony.
Jessica said to her bridesmaids, “Just wear something grey”. The result was a beautiful mix of grey and pewter tones that all worked in harmony.
The mood from start to finish was relaxed but full of positive energy as families embraced each others traditions.
So you think you can party? The hora was like a well dressed mosh pit as the bride and groom were flung to the ceiling and body surfed the crowd. At one point Jessica stood on a serving tray and was passed from hand to hand over the dance floor!
The night was capped with a surprise Mariachi appearance.
